My family and I had such a lovely weekend in Door County staying at the Square Rigger Motel. The motel is very small just four rooms but there is plenty of parking. The area is quiet and picturesque. The motel backs up right to the water and the views are fantastic. The windows in the room were large and provided a lovely way to wake up the sunrise every morning. By the way the rooms were large and extremely clean. The bathroom was small but functional and also extremely clean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Door County.
This is the best in Baileys. Amazing views, awesome hosts, and just outside the hustle and bustle of town. The pier and seating around the lake are great. Views from the room cant be beat. The rooms are clean and inviting. The perfect spot!!!
What a hidden gem! My friend & I decided last minute to go to door county everything was booked... Found this and the reviews were good. So glad we stayed. The sunrises were spectacular to say the least. The bed was comfortable and the room was so cute. Very clean...hearing the waves while falling asleep and waking up was so serene. Private beach area and the motel was located pretty well to get to any part of door county. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Joe & Nancy thought of it all!!
This 4 room Motel is by far the place to stay while visiting Door County. They thought of every amenity to comfort their guests. Simply and easily said..The Best!! Book far in advance if you want to visit Door County in Autumn
Very pleased with our two night stay here. The owners wife does such a fantastic job keeping the outside looking all bright and cheery with all her beautiful flowers. The view from our room couldn't be beat. It was so nice to have a whole backyard with lake access and pier to go sit out and listen to the waves on the lake. The room features 2 beds, table and 2 chairs, dresser, and even a pair of binoculars to watch the birds at the feeders in the yard. A mini fridge, coffee maker and coffee are provided, as well as use of regular glass coffee cups, wine cups and disposable cups. Along with a modern bathroom with amenities like shampoo and bar soap, hair dryer under the sink, stand up shower and plenty of towels. Both check in and out were simple and easy and it was a breeze booking the room over the phone directly with the owner Joe. Easy parking right in front of the room and an electric door lock so no key or key card needed. Walking distance to the best BP Gas station, park, and many restaurants and the marina. Such a nice, quiet and relaxing stay. I totally recommend this place for your next stay.
This was a wonderful derful place for girlfriend and I to stay It was obvious that a woman had a great deal of input Magnifying mirror nice towels and linens Real coffee cups and wine glasses with covers Friendly and helpful. The lake views were wonderful as was the location
I loved my stay so much I could live here! I debated writing a review because I am afraid there will never be another vacancy again! VERY clean, thick towels, extra blankets and pillows, digital lock on door, towels for any extra spills, two parking spots per room, comfortable beds, large walk in shower with a view of Lake Michigan. Did I say view??? Let me tell you, the view is amazing. One whole wall of windows with binoculars to boot! My daughter and I spent so much time on the beach just enjoying the fire pit and beach. There is plenty of outdoor furniture as well as gorgeous flowers everywhere. We purchsed wood from a business down the road, but one bundle was wet. Joe saw we were struggling to keep the fire lit, so he brought us some of his own dry wood to get us going. I have stayed at other places in Baileys Harbor, but this place was the best for cleanliness. The water is soft and does not have the iron smell some places do. You can tell how much care is put into this establishment. From the exterior maintenance to the extra clean baseboards and shower walls. Well done!!! Esthetics matter and this place nailed it!
